Aureus Quant Edge Basic is a free, restricted version of a MetaTrader 5 mean-reversion expert advisor. It uses a Z-Score anomaly detection engine (with an alternative classic Stochastic/RSI/Bollinger engine) to enter on statistical deviation points, primarily on M5 or M1 timeframes across forex and metals. The seller states it avoids grid and martingale logic, allowing at most one optional ATR-based secondary recovery entry, and includes layered risk controls such as daily loss and maximum drawdown killswitches, ATR trailing stops, and break-even automation. The Basic version locks lot size to the broker minimum and restricts use to one chart per account.
