BKT SmoothBand EA is a MetaTrader 5 expert advisor that trades breakouts of a heavily smoothed Bollinger Band, with an inner band used to cancel unconfirmed breakouts early. It arms virtual pending orders at tracked breakout levels and only sends market orders once price reaches them, requiring a hedging account since it can hold positions in both directions. Exits are managed at the basket level, with combined take-profit targets, optional trailing, and cross pruning that closes losing positions using profit from opposite-direction trades. Risk controls include grid-style minimum spacing between same-direction entries, optional lot growth per additional position, maximum position counts, spread filter, equity drawdown halt, and daily loss limits; no per-trade stop loss is described. Default parameters are calibrated for XAUUSD.
