Smart Pair Trading is a MetaTrader 5 expert advisor implementing a statistical-arbitrage (pairs trading) approach on any two correlated or inversely correlated instruments, such as EURUSD/XAUUSD or XAUUSD/BTCUSD. It computes a rolling OLS regression and Z-score of the spread between the two symbols, opening a hedged long/short position on the diverging pair and closing when the spread converges. Entries are filtered by a real-time correlation measure and EMA smoothing, with separate entry/exit time windows, cooldown timers, and one-trade-per-candle protection. Risk is managed via an account-currency profit target and loss limit rather than grid or martingale mechanics; a hedging account is required.
